May I write you a picture,
Heavy snow,
overnight,
kids all full,
of delight,
school is called,
and the snow is calling,
out they go to play,
all day,
in this winter wonderland,
and at days end,
there in the yard does stand,
the most perfect of all,
snowmen,
tall and strong,
a leader he is,
leader of all the snowmen,
who exists,
and for a time,
all is well,
then,
a change comes,
the sun shines bright,
bringing warmth to the land,
and to that perfect,
snowman,
slowly,
the snowman melts,
losing all his greatness,
no longer,
the leader others feared,
no longer,
big and strong,
and before long,
no longer recognized,
who he once was,
how sad,
yes,
and sadder yet,
least we never forget,
that snowman’s name,
America!
Thank you for reading!!

That was unexpected. Great work Moe.. I don’t know if there was a catalyst for this or just something you felt at the time.. Was trying to find your new piece earlier. Saw something from you in notifications the other day so had to search for your name, thus the other older poems I liked. 😁
Oh wow. That was quite good. Well done, Moe.
This was so sad and the fact that his name was America packed a punch! Loved your poem! Was so happy to see your name in my notifications!
Aw yea, this was good.
