When we go out at night,
we feel a freedom that the
day cannot copy.
When they go out at night,
we assume the worst.
Why do we think everybody’s
trying to hurt us?
I’d bet it’s the programs.
Television isn’t our visions.
It’s time to make our own
decisions and stop the divisions.
No one’s underneath anyone.
We’re all one.
We all want peace.
If everybody’s so afraid of the streets,
then why do we have them?
Can’t we just dig them up
and have them put grass instead?
I feel like we’re being
constantly misled
and told the world
is something
it’s not.

Hoooooooo, a hole in one!!! And my favourite line: "If everybody’s so afraid of the streets, then why do we have them? Can’t we just dig them up and have them put grass instead?" Yes, yes, YESSSSS!!!
Thought-provoking and well said!
Food for thought! We should all be starving right about now. And I agree, too much TV can lead to brain washing!
Impressive, inspiring, and provoking!!! Profound performance poem!!!💕❤️❤️
This is a really good poem! We're always being pointed in some direction, to believe something for some reason whether we see it or not. I like to think the world is beautiful and maybe not as scary and terrible as the news thinks. But then again, I love sitting out in the middle of the night! Great poem that inspires a lot of thinking!
If everybody’s so afraid of the streets, then why do we have them? Can’t we just dig them up and have them put grass instead? These questions were so deep and thought provoking! Loved your poem!
Thank you for sharing this thought-provoking piece that encourages reflection on societal constructs and inspires a reevaluation of our collective perceptions.
Fantastic poem! 🐉🐲
That we do & that they do. Except for the arms manufacturers. They love war, so long as it's in someone else's backyard.
Don't have a TV now, and I think I am on the right track. Oh, and congrats on the Challenge win!
She has done it again. Very thought provoking Outstanding 🙂
"I feel like we’re being constantly misled and told the world is something it’s not." I'm reminded of an old song that goes..."it's more than a feeling, more than a feeling..." Well done, RP! As per usual.
