Day Laborer

Your luxury cars drive down the roads,

And your big ships sail across the sea.

The railways are bustling with fast steam engines,

The country is filled with factories and machinery:

Can you tell me who is responsible for all this?

Whose blood has stained your buildings red?

Tear them down and you will see

Each brick clearly bears their names.

You might not know it, but each and every

Speck of dust is aware of the value of those roads, ships, trains, and grand palaces.

Better days are coming soon: day by day your debt is growing,

And you will have to repay that heavy debt.
