Learning How to Be Okay with Failure
Over the years I have realized that the biggest person who gets in my way is my own self. My comfort zone has kept me from going out and doing adventurous things that I later regretted not doing. When I try and fail at something it usually ends in me quitting altogether due to sheer embarrassment. Because of this, I have lost opportunities that would have put me on a different path if I had taken them. I am happy with where I am today and don’t necessarily regret my decisions but they have made me learn a huge life truth; failure is not a bad thing.

Last weekend, I visited my 28-year-old sister and her roommate. I ran to her apartment in panic after some events that felt too ~adult~ for me happened that day (stuff that involved things like credit checks, legal contracts and terror). The feeling of being a "big kid" was so stressful to me, I ran into the arms of someone who had told me multiple times that she'd always see me as a nine-year-old (which used to be super offensive and now sounds convenient as hell.) I wanted that comfort, that feeling of low expectations and lack of impending doom.

Let’s be real, no matter what I say, examples I give, or presentation in the world would keep young Bailey listening. She was stubborn and frankly, I still am, but here is some advice that maybe would’ve been useful before it was too late.

1. Look at yourself naked in the mirror for 5 minutes every day. It is essential to find love and comfort within the skin you're living in. Fall in love with the purity and the nature of your nude body by taking the time to admire yourself on a daily basis, and learn to grasp how empowering nudity is. (Another idea: do the exact same wearing your favourite lingerie!)

I dragged my aching body into my car and I tossed my bag on top of the passenger seat. The numb feeling that radiated through my whole body has become a common thing for me. It was like I expected to feel numb. Then, I released a scream that has been locked in my heart for days. I gripped the steering wheel as hot tears streamed down my face, like a waterfall.

All too often we get lost in the hustle bustle of life and before we know it, we take a step back and realize we’ve run ourselves into the ground. I am watching as slowly but surely people are getting more and more angry with their jobs, and it is all because they have given up on their lifelong dreams.
Beckster KraftPublished 6 years ago in MotivationAccepting Change
Change is the shadow that lingers in the corner of every room, but it is also the light that shines through your window of opportunity. Change may seem scary or unwanted, but it is going to happen. But an inevitable change is something we shouldn’t fear, like getting older. It happens to everyone and there isn’t anything we can do to stop it, so why not embrace it? Throughout life we go through various changes, both physically and mentally, and some changes, even some of the worst ones, can be the most rewarding of all. You may lose your job but then find one that suits you even better. You could move to a new country or meet a new partner after going through the breakup of a failed relationship. These are all things you shouldn’t be afraid of. You should want them to happen. Yes, you may be content with the life you have now but you are never going to have new experiences if you don’t allow them to happen. You need to take risks and see change as something positive.

Someone’s youth is such a small window of time in their lives. You don’t realize it when you’re in it, of course. You feel like it’s forever and that it’s never going to end because you might be like me and all you look forward to is adulthood.
Lauren DayPublished 6 years ago in MotivationFinding Peace
How do we find inner peace? What does it look like? What do we do to get there? My search for inner peace has been a long journey, and it's still going. My journey of life has been hard, sad, angry, depressed, happy, and exciting. But many experience these feelings and different situations. What experiences have you had that make you feel stressed, anxious, depressed, etc.? How did you deal with them? Did you push people away just because you didn't want to trust someone with helping you? The fear that drives our world is so strong, why do we live in fear of things? We need to be standing up for ourselves, for our families, our loved ones. We need to be strong, empowered, educated. We deserve to make our conditions better for us, and better for everyone around us. We deserve to live the best lives that we possibly can, and that can start with you! We can do something about making our world a better place if we try.
Mallory WiesePublished 6 years ago in MotivationChanging Your Life
Often, people seem to want to 'revamp' their lives, or start fresh but actually never know when to start. Clothes? Shoes? Makeup? Maybe redo your bedroom for a more minimalistic, aesthetic feel. What about randomly starting to journal or go to the gym, maybe treat yourself to a bath, or practice some self-care! The list can go on and on and on, but at the end of the day, it's just not that simple.

My thoughts of late have been focused a lot on desire. My main gripe with desire is how we talk about it our whole lives, and then we directly do things that contradict those desires. How many can conjure up this memory:
