An Interview With Caitlin McColl
An interview on the topic of writing as an expression of a writer's work and their soul is an important thing to do. It gives the reader a personal insight into their favorite writer and gives the writer an opportunity to say hello. Caitlin McColl is a Writer for Online Media that I admire greatly and throw many hearts to her work. She has charm and professionalism. An all-around very nice woman with youthful enthusiasm, a great sense of humor, and an excellent work ethic. Please take a moment to read her work here on Vocal and you will see the diversity in her writing and her wonderful presentation.

I was quite surprised she was willing to sit down with me. She was on a publishing tour through my little town and needed a place to unwind after dealing with the public. I informed her publicist of a low key bar that served the best homemade whiskey and our meeting was set. I had a booth in the back that faced the door. I was ready for the starlet to arrive at any moment.

Social media is great, isn't it? Especially for Vocal creators. Facebook has many groups dedicated to Vocal creators. In the group Vocal Writers Sharing Community, there are many games and contests that help feature creators and increase reads for those who participate. (If you haven't already joined this group, you can find it here). One of the challenges posed in this particular group is called "Not My Shoes Interviews". We were randomly assigned partners to interview. One problem-I have never done an interview. So I approached it a little differently. My interview partner and I didn't have a laundry list of questions for each other; we just had conversations. That is how I get to know people. And I love getting to know people.

Me: "We’re talking today with Cmh Hen, who writes on Vocal as Colt Henderson. Colt, I CAN call you Colt during the interview, can’t I?"

I had the opportunity to interview Vocal creator Dawn Salois. This particular activity involved pairing participants with a partner and allowing the partners to interview each other. The results of these interviews will then be shared, allowing everyone to learn more about the members as people, rather than just creators.

“Lights, Camera, Action.” It’s a phrase frequently repeated by film crew members, but this saying is taking on a whole new meaning. Jordan King, also known as DerriQ, is the founder and CEO of We In Action (WIA) Entertainment, an independent record label based in Greensboro, NC. Launched on November 24th, 2020, WIA helps promote and market artists to reach their maximum potential.
Tammy ReesePublished 3 years ago in InterviewImpacting The Future: Ahmad Ashkar, Founder And CEO, Hult Prize Foundation
One of the refreshing aspects of my interview with the Hult Prize Foundation founder and CEO Ahmad Ashkar is that he comes across as someone who doesn’t believe in mincing words. Be it the conviction with which he talks about his enterprise and what it has achieved so far, or his refusal to accept the status quo just because of a that’s-the-way-it-has-always-been-done sort of mentality, this American entrepreneur seems to be charged up with a vision of a better future for the world at large. The Hult Prize Foundation started out in 2009 with its flagship contest that brings together students from across the globe to solve the world’s most pressing issues through pitching ideas and launching companies for a grand prize of US$1 million. It has since grown into becoming “a global millennial startup movement for social good,” with Ashkar and his team essentially developing entrepreneurial pipelines around the world “that transform business minds into change agents for sustainable impact.”

I had the opportunity to interview Vocal creator Mike Singleton aka Mikey Dred. Mike is an extremely active, supportive member of the Vocal Facebook community and I have actually interacted with him a lot in several of the Vocal Facebook groups, but I really enjoyed the opportunity to get to know him on a more personal level.

Chloe GilholyPublished 3 years ago in InterviewDoes the world need new leaders?
Leadership is a commodity that never seems to be in adequate supply. Whether leadership can be taught, or not, which is an argument that has been going for ages, the supply of leaders in business and society will probably never be enough to keep up with demand.
thepavsalfordPublished 3 years ago in InterviewThoughts On Interview Community
Vocal recently launched a brand new community, Interview, its fortieth community. Vocal describes the community as "The home for Vocal creators to pick the brains of thought leaders, celebrities, musicians, friends, idols, other Vocal creators, and more."
