Meet the Legends of Tomorrow
It’s arguable that Marvel’s superheroes are leading the way in terms of summer blockbusters, but DC Comics are largely winning the battle for audiences on live action TV. Since Superman (and his various friends and villains) is currently on the slate for the DC movie schedule, DC was likely looking for a different set of characters to occupy its TV universe. Thanks to the work of super producer Greg Berlanti, who’s managed to transform his revisionist take on Green Arrow into an entire TV based DC universe affectionately known by fans as the Arrowverse. Guided by the steady hands of Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns, the Arrowverse has become one of the most comprehensive TV comic universes ever created. What first started as a gritty reboot of Green Arrow has now become a sprawling epic told across three TV shows all airing on the CW. The first obviously being Arrow and the second series was The Flash. The newest and most recent addition to the ever growing Arrowverse is Legends of Tomorrow. Below you’ll find a guide to all the new superhero characters you can look forward to in the series.

In a world that has been overtaken by the comic book film, it’s pretty important to understand and learn about where the main comic companies come from and how they came to be. One of the most famous companies is DC Comics. DC Comics is commonly seen as the main rival to Marvel Comics and proved to be a venture into darker territory for the comic book industry. DC Comics is known for its eclectic mix of heroes and villains, ranging from the iconic Superman and Batman to the dastardly like Joker and Zod. DC Comics can lay claim to much of what made comics what they are today, but the question is, how did they come to such prominence? How were they affected by the comic book censors? And what launched characters like Superman and Batman to such meteoric measures of fame? This is the history of DC Comics.

Regardless of with whom you speak, almost everyone will have fond memories of watching their favorite cartoons with less-than-healthy breakfasts in hand. The Saturday morning cartoon phenomenon is where most children were introduced to superheroes. But in tribute to the fallen Saturday morning block, which featured some of the best superhero cartoons ever made, we’ve hand-picked some of our favorites to help you binge watch and deny obtaining adult responsibility.

Her mission is to bring harmony and sexual equality in a world torn by the rule of man. The origin of the most famous super heroine ever, Diana Prince, otherwise known as Wonder Woman, may be unknown to many. As with many comic book characters, there is often evolution and reimagining involved over the years. Wonder Woman now emphasizes an Amazonian ideal, where women are proud, statuesque, and fiercer than men. However, many people, and even some geeks, may not know the true beginnings of the Wonder Woman character. Wonder Woman is often characterized and defined by the various transitions she’s gone through. The Golden Age, which marked her origin, the Silver Age, that showed her evolution and strengths, and finally the Bronze Age, where she was more mysterious and forceful.
