Pride welled in Casey's chest and she beamed. "Why of course!"
As she fished for her driver's license she wondered; was it my hair? They said cutting it made me look younger. Or perhaps my new lip colour?
She produced her license with a flourish and set it down. The bartender glanced at it.
"Oh."
Casey's smile faltered. "What?"
"Just checking." The bartender hurried to make her drink.
"For what?" Casey snapped.
The bartender winced, then pointed to a sign.
