Don't let your blog become a statistic! Most people give up before they achieve their first year.

Many bloggers abandon their projects early on, but you can thrive by following these pieces of advice. While some coaching tips are universally applicable, others cater specifically to bloggers.

Why Do Businesses Fail In Their First Year? Especially Blogging?

We sometimes think that's rather pessimistic, right?

There are many reasons why bloggers fail

You need to have good knowledge and a ton of commitment to pull through blogging

Below are some of the key reasons why most bloggers fail and cannot even make a dollar within the first 30 days let alone their first year of starting blogging.

· No schedule

· Expectations

· Mindset

· Lack of interest

· No stickiness

· Lack of commitment

· Financial Constraints

No Schedule

You have to schedule blogging on your calendar in order to be committed.

If you do not, you'll never be able to write your blog post, let alone generate traffic to your blog.

And that means, you won't definitely make money.

If it's hard for you to schedule, get an electronic scheduler to assist you.

If all you have is a little time here and there, figure out how you could put the various spots of time together and try to execute some blogging in a day.

Work for at least 15 minutes a day. 4 x 15 minutes is way better. But any time is better than none.

Expectations

What are your expectations for your blog?

Maybe you want to make it big the first month or make a thousand or two dollars within the shortest time?

Some will just put in the work without really looking up to anything

The last one is the winning one.

Let your mind be positioned in a psyche that expects rewards in the future but never the present.

The future though unknown is where everything lies.

Take decisions and actions in real-time. This will finally become the future.

Let your blog be your benefit for the future.

No matter what, endeavor to write every day, even if it's for just 10 minutes

You can plan to at least post 2 blogs every week and also be active on Pinterest every single day.

You, go on like this and just see what happens.

Mindset

Having a positive mindset towards your blogging business will take you far.

It takes time for SEO and Google to rank your site or index it. You need to know this and not expect to likely make money any earlier. This can normally take more than a month to 3 months.

Using Pinterest early as soon as you have a few posts online is paramount to kick-start your blog to higher heights.

Creating a Pinterest Business Account can give you an early traffic boost. This will give you some advantages.

Pinterest of course is not a magic wand. You need to have time and work the ropes.

Lack of Focus

There are always the shining objects waiting for you at the corner of the street.

Shining objects are all the attractions from all the offers the internet throws at us every day.

These are major focus killers.

Many bloggers have been dragged to their graves by sheer hovering of shining objects around their heads.

The deception is that there are so many fun ways to make money online, right? Why not try them all? At once, of course!

That's been my thinking for years.

It's difficult to pick one, just when you think you have the best, another shining object appears.

This syndrome has a way of keeping you going in cycles for life. You are always starting something new.

You need to focus on one first.

Get that one up and running. And once it does and you work only a few hours per week or months on it, now you can add another.

Or use your spare time.

Whatever you do, ensure that you focus on one and complete it, before you move to the next

No Stickiness

Not sticking to your blog is like the shining object syndrome.

It is important that you keep your focus. Find a way of getting your goals before you every morning and repeat it aloud.

You must be consistent and at least keep working on your blog for at least a year.

Hopefully, you'll get results before then. But sometimes that's how long it takes. So give it time.

It's quite likely that you may get results before the end of 12 months.

So, stay on it and keep going…

Lack of Interest

Did I ever tell you about the brilliant idea I had maybe 10 years ago?

We sometimes come up with very beautiful ideas that get us motivated and quickly kick start only to lose interest on the way.

I decided to make a blog that will help readers with all the tools for making money online.

After buying a domain, setting up WordPress, and posting a few pages, after some time I started losing hope…

Make sure you're passionate about your topic. Try it out with an Atomic Blog first, and make sure you like and enjoy it.

This is because if the topic bores you, you have to have an enormous amount of discipline to keep working on your blog.

Boring just takes the fun out of the whole thing.

Lack of Commitment

Commitment comes out of discipline.

You have to see your blog as a business.

Just see how you treat your 9 to 5 and give it the same type of commitment and discipline, though you don't have to work 8 hours a day.

But make sure you put in enough to create those 2 weekly blog posts.

Let posting from Pinterest be a daily occurrence. These are all discipline and commitment attributes.

When you are able to adopt this level of discipline, it will blossom and surely become a good business.

Financial Problems

Many successful bloggers follow certain success principles.

They may all have wonderful themes, the best hosting company, and all the bells and whistles with a wonderful team.

You don't need all those fancy pieces of stuff to start making money as a blogger.

Just use what you have from the beginning and when the money starts flowing in, you could do all the fancy stuff.

Webhost

As a beginning blogger, you don't need a custom-designed theme or the best web host. You certainly can hire a team if you have plenty of money. But otherwise, do it yourself.

That's something you should do before you can successfully hire a team anyway.

Set up a self-hosted WordPress blog (free). Get a low-priced but okay web host. I use Namecheap

(The link is an affiliate link and I may earn something little at no cost to you)

I had bad and expensive experiences with Bluehost, so I recommend you stay away from them.)

WordPress Theme

You can use wordpress which is also fine.

You can also find both free and paid fast and light themes inside Astra.

Astra is what I use currently. Their themes are just beautiful, easy to install, and lightweight.

In both cases, you can see customers' reviews of the themes, which is helpful.

Don't spend too much on a theme.

Your needs will change over time. And as a new blogger, you know little about what you really want from a theme. Not at this point.

So spend as little as possible on a good-looking theme.

Blogging Is Good Business

You just have to treat it as such.

· Put in the work daily from day one

· Spend as little as possible upfront

· You can invest more in your business when it makes a profit

· And stick with it for at least 12 months. Give it time.

That's how you should start any business, not just a blog. And yet, I know…

Blogging Isn't for Everyone…

Is it for you?

I hope this helps you. If it did, be sure to clap me a thousand times (joking, a few tens would do), leave me a comment (it will encourage me a lot - smiles), and share this with someone you know needs it (they say sharing is caring).
