No Poo!
A year ago, I quit shampoo. Why was I stripping my hair just to put moisture back in it? Why didn't I leave it alone in the first place? I know what you're thinking, GROSS. I thought so at first! Using conventional shampoos aren’t the only way to get your hair clean, and it shouldn’t be your first choice. There are several methods of no-poo: apple cider vinegar, baking soda, hot water, and more. These are the 3 methods that first come to mind when I think of no-poo, but I have heard of more.

C’mon, let’s be frank about this, who doesn’t want be forever young? The thing is, the first thing that comes to people’s mind when we talk about youthful looks is often the face, then the body — but it’s rarely the hair. We tend to overlook the importance of hair in our multiple beauty rituals.

Olivia AmberPublished 6 years ago in BlushBest Hair Dryers for Thin Hair That Add Volume
As for someone who has thin hair herself, it's literally the worst. When we want to style our hair with anything, from flat irons to curling irons, our hair will still look thin. In fact, it looks more thin even after styling it. Since we're pressing down on our hair with any hair appliance, this causes our hair to be and look even more thin. And most of us look past using a blow dryer, because we believe that they won't give us the best results compared to the other hair appliances. However, hair dryers are actually way better at styling your hair and giving you that thick-hair illusion.

Yes that's right, I use a men's razor. And no, If you search “men’s vs. women’s razor” one of the top searches was, “can a woman use a man’s razor?” And “can a woman use a man’s shaving cream?” Uhh, of course you can! I still use my own shaving cream ('cause in that case, women’s shaving cream smells better. Ha) but the razor is a different story.

Jacqueline HanikehPublished 6 years ago in BlushBest Purple Shampoos for Ombre Hair
Ombre hair is essentially a style of hair dye that's created to look like a fade from brown to blonde. It can also be blonde to brown, brown to blue, blonde to pink, and so on. It's a stunning fade from one hair color to another towards the bottom. And usually, blonde dye is used for ombre hair. Those with blonde ombre hair are always looking for ways to enhance the golden hues in their hair. By washing the hair with regular shampoo, this can fade the luscious blonde color and for someone who recently got their hair done... they don't want this.

My hair is what defines me. I can wear my hair any way I want, wherever I want, and whenever I want. I will not be told how I should style my hair based on what you think is acceptable. Just because I have my hair styled a certain way that you can't do does not mean it's weird. My hair should not be played with by you or your friend, it doesn't matter even if you ask me. If you ever feel the urge to touch my hair, do what Solange Knowles said and DON'T. My hair is not an ATTRACTION for you to take a picture of and share with your friends. Also, do not ever just walk up to me and begin touching my hair. I don't care who you are. My hair is me, so don't disrespect it.

We expose it to pollutants from car exhaust on our commute, the sun hits it, and in the case of hair color, we also expose it to a lot of chemicals that might not exactly be the best for it. All things considered, it’s not surprising a lot of people have a hard time when it comes to taking care of their hair.

Aloe… not necessarily a new topic but it is a new venture for some of us. As a child growing up with a Caribbean background I would always hear stories about certain plants, roots, and fruits that would do amazing things for our bodies. Now in my later years, the urge for testing and researching the results of natural, “Old School” remedies has become pretty embedded in my lucid, creative mind. If you didn’t know, Mother Earth has over 500 species in the genus Aloe. Now we're talking Plantae Kingdoms and scientific classification! But that’s technically boring… so let’s get back to the “zombie hair.”
My Hair Journey
Growing up in a household amongst two boys and two girls, you can only imagine how hard it was for my mum. Especially the fact she was basically on her own for the best... and worst parts of our upbringing. Now let's not get it twisted! Fortunately for us we did get to see our dad on a weekly basis and still to this day have a great relationship with him. He did his best to support us as a family and he did a great job at that. We all turned out... ok! 😃
