Considering Tiny Living? Top Story - August 2022
Ever since I was young I always dreamt of getting married, having a ton of kids, and having a big house. I basically grew up in that Disney generation where it was taught that prince charming would come swoop you off your feet, and live happily ever after in our mansion some day. As I got older and realized bills were a thing, my imagination slowly dwindled over time.

The Failed Taylor Swift Serenade
I'm about to show my age, but I remember when Taylor Swift first came on the scene in 2007. (Yes I am feeling super old just writing this.) Being a choir kid since I was really young, I always wanted to be in the spot light, almost to the extent of Lea Michele from "Glee". I strived for fame, and I wanted everyone to know who I was. Now keep in mind, I definitely didn't have the vocal chords that reflected how I sounded in my head- but I wanted to be someone.

The Art of Ghosting
I did an experiment this weekend. Mind you I have been divorced for sometime, and I have been really hesitant to get back out into the dating scene. I have been doing the whole therapy thing and just genuinely focused on my kids. I haven't felt like I was ready to get back out there, not because I am holding onto the relationship I was in- but rather there was so much pain caused in that relationship that I have been scared to get hurt again that badly.

Memories Are Sometimes Louder
There's something about death that's so uncomfortable, and truthfully I almost didn't even write this article because of this. People expect that when someone close to you dies, you're immediately expected to move on. No questions asked, but truthfully you go from outwardly grieving to silently internalizing- and that's the part truthfully that isn't talked about. Silently coping with how to pick up the pieces, and it seems like you are alone.

My Greatest Bookstore Adventure
Considering Los Angeles, CA is a concrete jungle of sorts, there is always little hidden gems to find. Having lived in California, there is so much to do and see that you would never be bored. I recently got back into reading in 2018 after my struggles with anxiety and depression began to hit new levels of highs and lows. I never seemed to be able to find a balance in life, but reading provided the opportunities of an escape into a world full of adventures and problems that were not my own.

Michelle Obama Is The Friend I Didn't Know I Needed
I remembered back in November of 2018, when Michelle Obama appeared on the Ellen show in a Costco doing a book signing. It was hilarious! Ellen was playing on a Piano and singing while Michelle was trying to be serious and actually get to know people while signing copies of her book. You could tell while she was slightly annoyed, the pair equally have an amazing friendship that is hard to come by. However I didn't think much of her book until this year, when I was looking for a new audio book in the Audible store.

Top 8 Book Picks For Any February TBR (To Be Read List)
Every month avid readers across the world get together with their personal bookshelf, and game plan what amazing world to dive into first. Reading has become a personal form of therapy of mine for some time. It has allowed me to decompress after a really long day, and to channel stress into a different format. Normally I don't read this many books, and even going into last year, I was averaging only like 3 a month (if that). But now it's looking like I may be moving back to California at some point, and my goal is to hopefully not take as many books with me as I did moving here to Missouri where I currently reside.
