Marshmallows
Day 40/366 Days of writing on vocal. Everyone needs that one friend that you can have healthy banter with. My friend Ann is that one for me. She’s a writing professor at a college so I always go to her for writing ideas. She’s also the one friend that I send inappropriate memes to. I think we all have this person in our lives.

What I Once Learned About Love From A Bath bomb
Day 39/366 days of writing in 2024. I wrote this article a few years ago but dug it up and revamped it after several conversations with clients, colleagues, and friends recently. Everyone comes to me when they want to learn to love themselves more. And believe me, if someone would’ve told me back in my twenties that I would become the “Goddess of Self-Love” I would’ve never believed it. Yet here I am, loving on myself more than just about anyone I know and what a beautiful way life is now. With Valentines Day coming next week, this is the perfect piece to publish today.

If Saturn Were A Person
Day 35/366 days of writing pieces in 2024. The above photo is from NASA’s instagram account. With the photo they wrote,”If you like it, put a ring 💍 on it.”I thought that was clever as hell. I’m kind of obsessed with this ringed beauty. Recently I found myself saying,”If I were a planet, I’d want to be Saturn.” I stare at pictures of this planet sometimes before bed. It’s interesting to me. So much so, I decided to write a poem personifying it. Although astrologists will tell you this planet is known as the disciplinarian, I didn’t include that this time around.

Goodbye Girl Scout Cookies
Day 34/366 days of writing pieces in 2024. I was a bit stressed before bed last night. I was thinking about how I had a busy day today. I’m working and then doing an overnight girls trip a couple hours away. I was thinking about how it would be hard to get a piece published and I didn’t know what to write about. But this morning when I opened Facebook a gleaming topic came through effortlessly. I started seeing the dreadful posts that I see once a year. The posts about buying Girl Scout cookies. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to give the Girl Scouts my money. But I want nothing to do with those horrid cookies. They are gross. And that’s exactly what inspired this poem today. My disdain for them. I know I can’t be the only one.

21 Things You Can Do With A Life Coach Training Certification
Day 33/366 days of writing pieces in 2024. Are you truly happy? What is a veracious definition of happiness? We live in a world where the majority of people aren’t happy with the work they are doing. Many times we believe we are headed in the right direction only to realize it simply does not feel right. As we mature and evolve, what once interested us is no longer fulfilling.

Bubbles and Baked Bliss
Day 32/366 days of writing in 2024. I have developed a recent fondness for champagne and cupcakes, a delightful combination that has captured my heart. Luckily, there is an extraordinary bakery just a stone's throw away from my home, where they create the most decadent cupcakes one could ever imagine. You can see their website here. Anyone in the D.C. area should make the trip here.

Good-bye January
Day 31/366 days of writing pieces in 2024. Yesterday I said out loud to a client,”If January were a man I wouldn’t date him.” I then posted that on social media and the comments made me laugh and inspired this poem to wrap up the month.

Willingness
Day 30/366 of writing and publishing in 2024. At the wellness studio I work at currently, we are about to invite our clients into a step challenge. This is to help them get more movement into their lives through cardiovascular exercise. The challenge hasn’t even started yet and I’m already hearing a lot of limiting beliefs come up. The crazy thing is, we are only asking clients to increase their steps and or time doing cardio by 10% each week in one months time. So if they are only doing 30 minutes of cardio now, the first week they are to increase that by 3 minutes. And I’m listening to dozens of limiting beliefs around that. It inspired an article for our newsletter at the studio which in turn inspured this article here.
