Elon Musk as CEO of Tesla made an announcement that was quite shocking for the public. Elon Musk confirmed that the Tesla manufacturer will build a new electric car with its latest battery model in the future.

It is estimated that this latest Tesla electric car will be sold at a price of 25,000 United States Dollars or around Rp. 371.3 million. It should be noted that this is the selling price in America, in Indonesia the selling price may be higher due to various other cost considerations.

When viewed from the price, it is certain that the latest Tesla electric car will be the cheapest of all the models that have been launched by Tesla.

Why is it said that? Because the cheapest Tesla electric car at the moment is the Tesla Model 3, which is priced at 31,690 United States Dollars or around Rp. 470.7 million. But that is the price marketed in America. Entering Indonesia, by considering all aspects, maybe the selling price will be higher if it is sold in Indonesia.

Although this latest Tesla electric car will be the cheapest model, this new electric car also still gets the autonomous driving system that has been developed by Tesla.

Elon Musk has not provided details about the new Tesla electric car. But what is clear is that this latest Tesla electric car will appear on the market within the next three years.

What will the latest Tesla electric car look like? We'll just wait. Here we discuss a little about the price of electric cars in Indonesia, including Tesla cars.

Indonesia has started to enter the era of motor vehicle electrification. Various environmentally friendly cars, including electric cars, have also been sold in Indonesia. Several automotive manufacturers have launched cars that have pure electric power without a combustion engine.

Even so, it is true that pure battery-based electric cars in Indonesia have not so many populations and models introduced. But at least, people can switch to this more environmentally friendly vehicle.

Electric cars sold in Indonesia are quite diverse and the prices also vary. Where the price of electric cars in Indonesia is priced below IDR 1 billion, some are above IDR 1 billion.

Tesla Model X

Currently the cheapest electric car in Indonesia is the electric car from Hyundai. Hyundai, which is an automotive manufacturer from South Korea, has just launched two electric cars, namely the Hyundai Ioniq and the Hyundai Kona Electric.

The price of the Hyundai Kona Electric is priced at Rp. 675 million. Hyundai Ioniq Electric is available in two types, namely the Prime and Signature types. The price of the Hyundai Ioniq Prime is priced at Rp. 625 million and the Hyundai Ioniq Signature is priced at Rp. 665 million.

Another electric car in Indonesia is an electric car made by BMW. BMW launches a small electric car in the form of the BMW i3s. Pure battery-based electric cars in Indonesia are priced at IDR 1,309,000,000 with off the road status.

If you have a lot of capital to buy a car and also want an electric car other than the one above, you can choose a Tesla car. This electric car, originating from the United States, has been launched in Indonesia for a long time through an importer of luxury cars, namely Prestige Image Motorcars.

Prestige Motorcars introduces the Tesla car in three models. There is a Tesla Model 3 car which is the cheapest Tesla electric car, there is also a Tesla Model S sedan and also a Tesla Model X SUV.

The price of the Tesla Model 3 is priced starting from IDR 1.5 billion. Meanwhile, the Tesla Model S and model X cars are priced starting from IDR 3 billion.

Regarding Battery Day which was held by Elon Musk as CEO of Tesla, Indonesia also moved to welcome this event.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will send a high-level team to meet with executives from the electric car manufacturer Tesla in the United States. The goal is to establish Indonesia as the largest electric car battery producer in the world.

The sending of the team will also be part of Indonesia's promotion of the omnibus law, which simplifies the regulations for doing business in Indonesia.

The trip was made after Jokowi congratulated Joe Biden on his victory in being elected President of the US. The Indonesian leader said he hoped the Biden administration would promote world stability and peace.

Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan as the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment who will lead the team sent to meet Tesla executives.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said he plans to offer giant long-term contracts as long as nickel is mined in an efficient and environmentally sensitive manner.

The new Job Creation Law, which harmonizes 79 existing laws, and this law has come under fire for relaxing environmental standards.

Luhut said that Indonesia could create an environmentally friendly battery supply chain within seven to eight years by turning on smelters with renewable energy sources. Then it will sell eco-friendly batteries for cars in the European market in 2030.

Mr Jokowi said the Job Creation Law was very important for cutting bureaucracy, spurring investment and increasing the competitiveness of the labor market.

Despite protests against the law from students, university students and environmentalists, the law has been positively accepted by the market.

Indonesia struggles to attract foreign investment. President Jokowi said Indonesia's new law would be one of the main catalysts to boost Indonesia's economic growth in the next year.

That's a glimpse of the Tesla car with its newest battery model. The latest Tesla electric car which is expected to be marketed at a lower cost. Regarding the Battery Day news that was launched by Tesla, it also motivated Indonesia to cooperate with the manufacturer from the United States.
