Everyone has seen Las Vegas, Nevada at least once in a movie. The city has been advertised many times and thousands of people vacation there every year. Let's find out what is so amazing about Las Vegas.

When people see a photo of the 2.5-mile-long Las Vegas Boulevard stretching through the city from northeast to southwest some think that The Strip as it is called is all there is to the city. Even though this is lined with large entertainment venues and places for fine dining there is so much more to Las Vegas and so much to see and do it could make your head spin.

Of course, a walk along The Strip is a must just to take in all that is available and see all the neon in rainbow colors glittering at night. It stretches from the Mandalay Bay Hotel to Treasure Island Hotel. The best idea is to walk it and then decide which luxury resort is right for you.

Take a walk to old downtown Las Vegas. Fremont Street is a pedestrian-only area where you can find all kinds of unusual sites. A canopy of LED lights covers five blocks of Fremont illuminating the sky in various colors and designs as you walk along. Take in the Fremont Street Experience when each night a fantastic visual and musical show takes place with street performers and special entertainment acts.

For a really awesome adventure, you can take the Las Vegas Strip Helicopter Night Flight and get a breathtaking flight over the city at night.

You can also get daytime aerial views over Las Vegas or go farther and take a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon which is not far from Nevada. You can choose to take the Grand Canyon West Rim Luxury Helicopter Tour. It takes about three hours and you will see The Strip, Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, and the West Rim area of the Grand Canyon.

If you have longed for a trip to Europe but find it too expensive then discover the beauty of Venice, Italy in Las Vegas. The Venetian Hotel has a themed shopping arcade that resembles the Italian city of Venice, You'll find the same canals and can enjoy a ride in a gondola with your own personal gondolier who will sing to you. Other recreations include the Rialto Bridge and the Bridge of Sighs among others.

If you have been longing to travel to Paris, France you only need to go as far as the US state of Nevada and the city of Las Vegas, You will enjoy the scale model of the Eiffel Tower and the recreation of the Paris Opera House. The Eiffel Tower Experience offers you an observation deck 46-stories above the city with 360-degree views all around.

Right in front of the Bellagio are dancing fountains with lovely water displays along with music.

The Mirage Hotel will astound you with a volcano that erupts at regular intervals. At nighttime glowing red fire and explosions come out of the volcano.

Inside the hotel, you'll find Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat. You can see many exotic animals like white lions and tigers.

The Dolphin Habitat has many trained dolphins in 2.5 million-gallon pools.

Take the High Roller Las Vegas Strip Observation Wheel which is the largest observation wheel in North America at a height of 550 feet. One rotation takes 30 minutes while you enjoy spectacular sights across Las Vegas. Each cabin holds 40 people and is climate controlled.

The New York-New York Hotel is right across the street from both the MGM Grand Hotel and the Excalibur Resort Hotel. What you will notice right away is the hotel is designed after the New York City skyline including the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty. Try out the huge roller coaster – the Big Apple Coaster as it circles in and around the hotel. There are seven different restaurants to try that offer everything from sushi to steaks.

Caesar's Palace is a massive complex in the middle of the Strip and is ready to serve you with any kind of entertainment imaginable. There are fantastic shows held in its huge concert venue The Colosseum with top performers.

Take in The Mob Museum or the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement. It is housed in a 1933 neo-Classical building which was once the US Post Office and Courthouse, The museum informs about the history of the Mob in the US with interactive displays and video clips. There are exhibits with individual characters and events as well as the culture and fashion associated with those times.

Mandalay Bay Resort is located at the southwest end of the Strip. Among its highlights is the Shark Reef Aquarium with a massive 1,300,000-gallon tank with sharks, fish, rays, reptiles, marine invertebrates, green sea turtles, and a Komodo dragon.

The Shark Tunnel is the most impressive. On display, you'll find more than 100 sharks from 15 different species and over 2000 animals. Shark Reef works with wildlife biologists to preserve endangered lake and marine animals as well as rehabilitating injured animals.

The Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition is one of the more unique attractions. Here you can see more than 250 items recovered from The Titanic and on display.

The STRAT Tower is an amazing sight on the Las Vegas skyline rising 1,149 feet in the air and at the top, you'll find the Skypod with various levels. It includes lots of thrill rides like SkyJump, Big Shot, X Scream, and Insanity. The Top of the World Restaurant offers delicious meals and a chance to see out over the city. It offers people the chance to get married in the sky in a fully outfitted chapel. The STRAT Tower is the “tallest freestanding observation tower in the US.”

The MGM Grand Hotel is a luxury hotel offering many restaurants and entertainment options, Among the highlights is the pool area with four pools, a waterfall, a Lazy River, and three whirlpools.
