Welcome to Disney Springs!

It's not just about the theme parks, when visiting Walt Disney World!

Disney Springs is the all new downtown area of WDW! This is where you will find a unique Disney experience involving a lot of shopping and entertainment.

Staying at a Disney hotel is also a big part of your overall experience. There are over 25 different resorts you can stay in, and all of them are themed differently.

During my recent trip to WDW, I got to experience both Disney Springs and Disney hotels during the holiday season.

Designer Shopping!

Huge Christmas tree outside Zara!

Disney Springs has a brand new shopping area in the West Side area, which has stores from a lot of your favourite and popular designer brands. Stores such as Zara, Anthropologie, Coach, Levi's, Under Armour, and Superdry—just to name a few. When it comes to buying new clothes, and keeping up with fashion trends, Disney Springs definitely satisfies your shopping spree needs.

Disney Shopping!

Largest Disney store in the World!

In the Marketplace area of Disney Springs, you will find all the Disney shops for your Disney merchandise—and personally, my favourite place to buy Christmas presents! There will also be exclusive items for sale in these stores, items you won't find in the parks. Everything Disney imaginable can be bought from these shops. From toys, Christmas decorations, games, Disney pins, clothes, souvenirs, candy, chocolate, and so much more!

Evening Entertainment!

Christmas Drone show!

During the evening, there is so much live outdoor entertainment throughout Disney Springs, staying up late is so much fun! It makes you feel like a big kid again.

Just casually walking through Disney Springs—you may come across carolers and A Capella groups singing Christmas songs, I saw musicians playing live out of many various bars and restaurants, and I also walked past a huge stage where a DJ was playing music for a kids party!

But, the highlight of the night was the Christmas drone show! The technology behind this is so impressive. Hundreds of drones flying in sync with one another to Christmas music, all whilst making shapes and patterns, was so cool to watch. This is such a nice way to end the evening, and get you in the festive spirit.

Resort Hopping!

Lobby of Disney's Grand Floridian Hotel!

Hotel hopping is such a fun activity to do within the WDW Resort. Not only can you use the Disney transport to get to the parks, you can use it to visit all the different hotels. During my trip, I was intrigued to see each resort's Christmas decorations. There tends to be a huge tree in the middle of the lobby, and the decorations match the theme of the resort. The pools at Disney resorts are very spacious, and look like a lot of fun!

My top-five Disney hotels are: the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Boardwalk Resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the Wilderness Lodge.

The Christmas decorations are spectacular, the attention to detail is very impressive. I hope one day I get to stay in all of these hotels.

The Boardwalk!

The Disney Boardwalk!

The Disney Boardwalk is another huge area within the WDW Resort. It's designed to look and feel like a beach boardwalk. Not only is the hotel amazing, the boardwalk itself offers so much to do. The boardwalk overlooks a huge lake and has a number a restaurants, eateries, cafes, gift shops, and a beach. Not to mention incredible views of the sunset.

If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the parks, this is a great spot to relax!

A Different Side To Disney!

Watching the sunset at the Disney Boardwalk!

In theory, you don't even have to go to any of the theme parks when visiting Walt Disney World. Just spending time at Disney Springs, the Disney Boardwalk, and in your hotel resort can take up a lot of time. WDW really has taken hospitality to the next level, and provided a vacation experience that caters to everyone. There is definitely a high level of entertainment beyond the theme parks, and this is a side to WDW that not many people know about.

This is why I always look forward to visiting WDW time and time again! There is always something new I have yet to see.
