IND ENG Test Cancelled – England Cricketers IPL 2021: The cancellation of the 5th test between India vs England hasn’t gone down well with some of the England team cricketers and otherwise. Some of them are angry and furious. According to a reporty by The Sun, England believes that Indian team themselves played with Covid rules and were even spotted out and about in Manchester on Thursday, when they were meant to be at their hotel. Sam Curran and Moeen Ali will play in IPL 2021. Whereas 3 people have pulled out.

Five England Test players Jonny Bairstow, Sam Curran, Moeen Ali, Dawid Malan and Chris Woakes were part of IPL 2021.

Bairstow is scheduled to join Sunrisers Hyderabad, Sam Curran & Moeen Ali are contracted with Chennai Super Kings, Dawid Malan for Punjab Kings & Chris Woakes is suppose to join Delhi Capitals squad in UAE for IPL 2021.

But if report is correct – one of these cricketers is considering to pull out of IPL 2021. All of these cricketers along with India bound players were due to fly to the UAE on a charter from East Midlands Airport on Wednesday. But with the match being cancelled, the date is all set to be brought forward as the IPL franchises are planning to arrange commercial flights for their squad members.

Bairstow, Woakes and Dawid Malan have withdrawn from IPL 2021.

Morgan, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, George Garton, Jason Roy, Sam Billings, Livingstone, Adil Rashid, Tom Curran are all set to be available for IPL 2021.

Why some England cricketers are angry and furious with India?

ENGLAND are claiming India played ‘fast and loose‘ with Covid rules the day before the Fifth Test match was cancelled.

Unsubstantiated reports claims that the Indian cricketers even on Thursday i.e day before the match was seen venturing out on Manchester streets while the entire Covid-19 related drama in their camp was getting unfolded. The report claims that the Indian players were spotted in a well-known department store in Manchester on Thursday. The report further says that another member of the Indian team attended a photoshoot.

Every Indian player returned negative PCR tests on Thursday & still they refused taking the field on Friday. England is primarily very angry with the Indian squad as they attended an autobiography launch for head coach Ravi Shastri this month. Sources described India’s behaviour as “reckless” and believes that became the main reason for the positive tests in Indian squad.

ICC T20 World Cup: This cricketer's 'backing' helped R Ashwin's selection

Scroll down to read the player's name!

Team India

NEW DELHI: Midway through the Asia Cup in UAE in 2018, Ravindra Jadeja made a comeback into the Indian white-ball team under stand-in captain Rohit Sharma. “It has been 480 days since I played, so I will always remember this,” Jadeja had announced after the match. Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin were deemed ineffective in white-ball cricket after India lost the Champions Trophy final to Pakistan in June 2017.

It has taken four and a half years for Ashwin to rejoin Jadeja in the limitedovers setup. The off-spinner will also play in the UAE, at the T20 World Cup. This time too, it is Rohit Sharma who has had a role to play, TOI has learnt.

Rohit, it is understood, has played a major part in the selection of the team for the T20 World Cup. The board and selectors had sought Rohit’s opinion before the selection meeting and he was insistent on bringing Ashwin back into the scheme of things. Captain Virat Kohli too was on the same page when the idea was floated during the meeting.

Kohli had earlier suggested that doors would open for Ashwin only if Washington Sundar’s performances dipped drastically. Now that Washington has been ruled out with a finger injury, there was a slot up for grabs.

Rohit and Kohli both highlighted how Ashwin has been one of the toughest spinners to hit in the IPL over the last two years. The slow pitches in the UAE also played a major part in the decision.

There’s a theory within the Indian cricket board (BCCI) that Rohit, who captain Mumbai Indians in the IPL, needs to be given a larger role when it comes to the leadership group in white-ball cricket. There seems to be a growing imprint of the Mumbai Indians brand of cricket in Team India, just like there was a Chennai Super Kings imprint a few years ago.

The selectors went in favour of Mumbai Indians players while deciding between two players for one spot. Ishan Kishan was up against the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw and Sanju Samson. Even Rahul Chahar won the battle of leg-spinners as the seasoned Yuzvendra Chahal fell behind.

Ishan’s ability to float around the batting order and his wicketkeeping skills were highlighted by chief selector Chetan Sharma on Wednesday. What he didn’t mention is that these fresh faces from the Mumbai Indians stable are more used to winning the big moments that helps a team prevail in a tournament.
