The "Pet Peeve" Edition
Two years into this and everyone is annoyed, right? What were once minor grievances have now escalated to anger inducing tantrums. I don't go out much, but I did on Thursday. It had snowed, the roads were slippery and drivers had to be extra vigilant. I saw a small car (I mean small enough that even a child could reach the roof) coming towards me and the only snow that had been removed was what the windshield wipers had pushed off. A while ago, I would have just rolled my eyes. Three days ago, I saw fit to yell obscenities (pointless, I know - no one could hear me) and flip him the bird.

"I hate awards season." Search that on twitter, and you will find plenty of people who find awards shows tacky. Awards season invites all sorts of opinions about who deserved to win what, and people can find that either exciting or extremely grating. Plenty of people spend awards season frustrated that something that was personally meaningful to them got snubbed.

To fully understand my plight, you should know that by the seventh grade, my baby sister had breasts that could rival a pornstar's. They grew in less than a week. On Monday, they were little salt piles that she refused to tuck into a training bra, and come Friday, our apartment was echoing with the sound of shower drizzle mixed with screams of, "Where did those come from?" and, "Mom, shut the curtain! Ohmygod—"
Eilish TooheyPublished 2 years ago in VivaMy Mom Came Out To Me At 15 — Having A Gay Mother Taught Me Acceptance
My mother and I have a very complicated relationship. I have many problems with her, but they have nothing to do with her sexuality. That being said, when I learned she was a lesbian, it was hard for me to accept.

Jason Ray MortonPublished 2 years ago in Motivation4 Subtle Reasons Why You Should Use Personal Pictures For Your Articles
Full disclosure, I stole this idea off of a famous internet writer, Nicolas Cole. When I first started writing online, I read all the top online writers daily. And Nicolas stood out. Not because of his storytelling skills, which are phenomenal, but because he went the extra mile to attach a high-quality image of himself on each and every one of his articles.
Grief Is A Complicated Lifelong Journey
Death is just a fact of life. It is an awful thing to go through, and no matter how much time goes by, you still will feel a measurable sense of loss. It doesn't matter if your loved one died yesterday or 40 years ago, you will still miss them. For many, they never can move forward.
Chrissie Marie MasseyPublished 2 years ago in FamiliesGame-Based Movies Need To Stop
To this day, I have yet to find a game-based movie that has done an amazing job adapting a game to a movie. I think it is fair to say that it is nearly impossible to cram 10 to 12 hours of gameplay or an entire series into a 90-minute movie. But movies will continue to try to do so.

Guilt, that unsettling feeling, churning deep down, when you think or know you have done something wrong. It’s unpleasant, but good, in a similar manner to broccoli.
Julia WinsaPublished 2 years ago in PsycheA Team of Heroes
MISCONCEPTION OF HEROES As a young girl growing up, hearing all of the fairytales and watching all the superhero movies I was convinced of a few things regarding heroes. I was convinced through reading and hearing stories that fairytales only happened for Caucasian people or strange looking people in faraway lands that don't exist and that super heroes either wore a cape, had a superior physical physique or strength, supernatural powers from a scientific malfunction or mishap, or always carried some sort of scepter to show their extraordinary prominence to ordinary people.

Supporting the dreams of those who strive to help is important and is personally fulfilling as well. Through the years I've tried to help various organizations by volunteering, fundraising, or donating. The charitable organization I'm featuring here is not close enough for me to volunteer at. If it were, I'd be there every day because it's just so delightful! Do yourself a favor and follow The Ass Menagerie Sanctuary (TAMS) on social media. The animals and their antics will help bring a smile to your day.

It’s been about a year. A year since my affair ended. There wasn’t a discussion. It seems that we both knew going to that hotel room, it would be the last time. Well, the last time in an actual bed…

Mastering a new skill always comes with a learning curve. I'm one of the masochists who like to learn new things, and I've battled my fair share of unexpected obstacles. To illustrate, I bought a used car to "learn how to work on cars." You can guess how that went.
10 Things You Might Not Know About Robert Pattinson
Robert Pattinson was destined for stardom. Having officially debuted as an integral part of one of the biggest franchises on the planet, the Harry Potter franchise, Pattinson was thrust immediately into the limelight. Then came Twilight and the role of vampire icon, Edward Cullen, the center of another billion dollar franchise. But stardom is not something that Robert Pattinson seemed comfortable with. Despite having the looks and talent of a modern James Dean, Pattinson rejected fame in the wake of Twilight and sought to challenge himself by working with some of the most acclaimed indie directors on the planet.

Impressions of the Film I really like Hush (2016). This is one of the few horror films I’ll watch on multiple occasions because I love the thriller/adventure aspect of this slasher film.
Fiona PercivalPublished 2 years ago in HorrorA Dank History of Memes
I love memes. As a millennial, I remember the dawn of Facebook, the early days of MySpace, and some of the earliest memes to circulate the Internet. One day, I found myself wondering, what was the first meme? Well, I looked into it, so that you don’t have to. I dove deep into the dank history of Internet memes, and to do that, I had to go all the way back to the beginning of the Internet.
