Voter fraud was Trump's plan B but it backfired

The president is running out of options but still will not admit Joe Biden won fair and square.

When Donald Trump won the 2016 election he never questioned the system that elected him as US president number 45. During the summer of 2020 however, the Donald began sowing seeds of doubt in his base. he started saying that if he lost it would be a result of voter fraud and he stuck with that narrative. His supporters began repeating it and believing it themselves. This was a setup to what is now going on in the nation. Recently Trump spent 3 million dollars to recount votes in Wisconsin. The result was 86 more votes for Joe Biden.

A joint statement from the Elections Infrastructure Government Coordinating Council and the Election Infrastructure Sector Coordinating Committees both indicate that the 2020 election was the most secure in modern times. Even so, President Trump continues to cry fraud. Every avenue that the soon to be outgoing president has tried to overturn the election results has hit a dead end but he simply will not stop. When Hilary Clinton lost in 2016 she warned Americans that Donald Trump would spread chaos and vitriol and she was right. Every single day for four years there have been nasty tweets and comments unbecoming of a sitting president.

Now Hilary Clinton is warning Americans that Donald Trump will not go away after Joe Biden is sworn in as president number 46. During an interview on Dax Shepherd's Podcast, Clinton said that President-Elect Joe Biden should find a way to cut through the noise and let everyone know about his wonderful policies. She added that Donald Trump is not going to go away. it's already been rumored that Trump will begin campaigning for 2024 which is an attempt to be able to say that he was voted into office twice.

This may be a way for Trump to appease himself for not being a two term president. He will no doubt spend the next four years making a lot of noise, trying to discredit Biden as he did when Barak Obama was president. Donald Trump is all about the art of the deal and winning and now he has lost. His ego has taken a bruising and he must do all he can to give the impression that he is winning. Not only did he lose the election by an ever growing margin, he is losing every attempt to prove voter fraud. Turning the focus to 2024 would keep him in the spotlight and give his base a reason to remain loyal.

Previous presidents have left the Whitehouse and quietly lived their lives with little fanfare. If Hilary Clinton is correct, Trump will not be able to help himself from continuing to cause trouble. The one thing that would deter him is if his base became disinterested. If the numbers of his Twitter followers and those who attend his rallies were to wane, then perhaps, just maybe Donald Trump would settle down somewhere. Right now his base is amped up with the cry of voter fraud, even in spite of evidence that it is not true. News outlets would also need stop reporting everything that Trump says or does because then perhaps, out of sight, out of mind would come into play.

Donald Trump never believed he would lose this election. but just in case, he set plan B in motion months in advance. The president said that the only way he would lose is if there were fraud and millions of Americans believed him. Sensible US citizens saw through the charade, saw what was coming and they were right. Trump pulled out plan B because he had been brainwashing his base for months. They fell for his false narrative and rallied around him. Trump lied and exaggerated and repeated his spiel over and over and over again.

It worked like a charm on those who support him but did not change the election results. Donald Trump is not a politician, but a ruthless businessman who does not play by the rules. Most Americans knew what he was in 2016 and others should have learned by 2020 but 70 million voted for him anyway. The only thing that can be done now is to ignore him once January 20 gives us a new president. Perhaps, just maybe if enough people do, he might just go away. I would not count on it but it's a nice thought anyway. It's already being reported that he wants to upstage Joe Biden's inauguration. Clearly, this man is narsisstic at best.
