There is an old saying; "With Friends like this who needs enemies." This may be the attitude of those who read a new publication by someone who used to be close to our current First Lady. Melanie Trump’s former advisor has published a tell all book about the First Lady according to The Sun. Stephanie Winston Wolkoff obviously did not sign a non disclosure agreement because she is sharing personal details about the the wife of the 45th president. Wolkoff claims that the real reason the First Lady did not want to move into the White House right away is because she refused to use the same bathroom that the Obama’s made use of when they were on Pennsylvania Ave. The former assistant to Melania Trump insists this was not a slight against the 44th president and his wife but because the facilities were old.

Stephanie says Melania would have wanted new facilities even if the previous resident had been the Queen of England. The Sun reveals that book says the previous toilet and shower were torn out and new ones put in, (no doubt at taxpayer expense). Stephanie Winston Wolkoff says Melanie was used to everything at Trump tower being made of gold and disliked the bathroom at first sight. Mrs. Trump is said to have refused to move to Washington DC until a brand new toilet was installed in the bedroom that the Obamas’ has used according to the book. Melania’s former assistant indicates that the First Lady said the White House was “a dump”. The new book is titled “Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of my friendship with the First Lady.”

This publication will naturally be a best seller because Americans love tell all’s, especially about first families. The author is quoted as saying:“Melania is the wife of the president and doesn’t expect she should have to make do with second hand or previously used facilities. “ Stephanie goes on to say that the First Lady seemed to be far more concerned about the decor of her new home than she did regarding the many allegations of her husband’s alleged infidelity. Every First Lady has added her own personal touch and made changed while her husband resides in the Oval Office but if any previous residents thought this living quarters was beneath them, they did not say it or either their assistants did not snitch.

Initially it was stated that Melania remained at Trump Tower in New York because she was waiting for her son Baron to complete his school year. The two finally made the move in July 2017. During the time they remained in New York, American taxpayers were footing the bill for $150,000 a day for security. The Sun states that this book was written after Winston/ Wilkoff secretly taped Melanie making crude remarks about stepdaughter Ivanka Trump and other in-laws, and also saying harsh things about her husband Donald. Stephanie Winston/Wolkoff previously worked for Vogue Magazine for a decade and assisted in planning the Met Ball Gala in New York City. She first met Melania Trump in 2003 when Donald was dating his third and current wife.

Stephanie began working for the Trump administration in 2016 by helping plan his inauguration. This is when she became a trusted advisor to Melania. I’m sure the First Lady had no idea her friend and confidante would turn on her this way but there is a reason why.Melania and Stephanie parted ways. It seems Melania sided with her husband and allowed her former advisor to take the fall for financial irregularities related to the inauguration. The Sun reveals that the new book’s description indicates that this was a betrayal that almost destroyed Stephanie.

According to the article in the Sun, the book description also says: “In this candid and emotional memoir, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff takes you into Trump Tower and the White House to tell the funny, thrilling, and heartbreaking story of her intimate friendship with one of the most famous women in the world, a woman few people truly understand.” The book was due for release in September 1st. This one revelation regarding the bathroom along with the expense of the security could give some Americans the impression that the First Lady is self centered and does not care about the people in this nation. Had she accepted her living quarters and moved to DC immediately as other First Ladies there would have been no need for the extra security or the expense of remodeling and replacing the toilet facilities.

Many Americans who are paying for Melania to live this lavish life are out of work and the Government is delaying on a much needed stimulus package. The First Lady throwing her assistant under the bus for the misdhandlung of inauguration funds added to the rest of it smacks of greed, if it’s all true. Americans who are facing losing their homes may be offended by this information but the best thing to do is read the entire book to get a better picture of what the First Lady is really like. More importantly wait and see if The Donald or his wife deny any of the allegations in the book. With so many in this nation on edge because of current events, this book could cause more anxiety or perhaps no one will even care.
