Baby, It's Politically Correct Outside
BRYCE ON POLITICS Attacking Holiday Programming Click for AUDIO VERSION. 'Tis the season, not for Christmas or any other religious holiday, but for political correctness. It appears the holidays have triggered a wave of criticism over audio/video classics as heard and seen for years over our airwaves. This is just another example of political correctness running amok.
Climate Change and a New Conspiracy Theory
What facts are indisputable, if not widely known, about climate change? Climate change has been happening since planet Earth was first formed. Geologists, historians and archaeologists, can show that at various times, areas that are now deserts were under the sea. They know that at times in history, ice has covered far more of the land mass than is covered now. They know that at other periods the ice receded further than it is now.
Peter RosePublished 5 years ago in The SwampTraitor Trump Tweet
A few days ago, there was an email that came in from work. In essence, it said to be careful what is posted on social media because it can come back and bite us in the ass. Today, Rudy Giuliani proved this with an accidental tweet that implies he believes something that many Americans do as well about Donald Trump. And just wait until word of this gets back to Trump, it will not be pretty. Though it is unclear what, if anything, will be said about it—after all, after firing Jeff Sessions and pushing off a press conference out of deference to mourning former President George H.W. Bush, Trump has to use his time to try and discredit the Mueller investigation. So, there's a chance that "Uncle" Rudy's tweet will go unnoticed or at least not talked about.

Emmanuel Jean-Michel Frederic Macron, forty-year-old man born in Amiens, France was elected to French office in 2017, after serving as both Minister of the Economy and Minister of Industry and Digital Affairs, is currently facing what could quite possibly be the toughest time of his presidency as his office is threatened with protests that are rapidly spreading across the nation.
Markle Fans Crossing a Line
How far are you willing to go to defend somebody you never met but your idolize because they're famous? That's a question we should all ask ourselves when we read something online about somebody we look up to but don't necessarily agree with. Are you willing to tear down other people or even go so far as threatening another person because they have an opinion that differs from yours?
Dear Donald
Dear Donald, I am a humble Brit. I followed the 2016 presidential election with great interest because the whole process is far more exciting than a British parliamentary election. Here, we have two parties as well. But, you have a popularity contest with a candidate often thrust upon the party by the voters. Here, the parties themselves choose their leaders who then run. You vote for an individual to be the president but in the United Kingdom, we vote locally and the party who gets the most seats wins the right to form the government. We have a far less personal race and a far less entertaining process. It does have the effect of preventing such a wildcard candidacy, however, because a party leader is determined by the parties themselves and not by the public. Although the process of electing a leader can be heavily influenced by the public opinion, we do not, ultimately, get to choose our leader in the same way America does. It makes the race far more entertaining and exciting to watch, in multiple ways.
Kieran FullerPublished 5 years ago in The SwampThe Dead, Alleged, Ex-Cracked Leader of the Semi-Free World
The late President George Herbert Walker Bush has received adoration and adulation upon the event of his demise. But the man stood for pragmatism, a dogged and nasty racist streak, and an ugly view of mankind. For all the bombast that bloviating, talking heads have spewed over the last few days, little is critical or, especially, objective. It’s as if a time capsule full of all of Bush Sr.’s misdeeds had been sealed up and cast out into the Earth’s exosphere. But what must be remembered remains the inconsistencies and outright lies concerning Bush Sr.’s Presidency.

Believe it or not, there's a big business today that exists trying to improve something that sounds like a bad oxymoron—that is customer service in government. At all levels of government—and indeed all around the world—there is a whole lot of interest among those who lead government agencies and a ready cadre of small and larger consulting and training firms out there who are willing and eager to work with the public sector to try and improve the delivery, speed, and efficiency of government services for constituents. Yes, citizens are customers!
David WyldPublished 5 years ago in The SwampTime to End the Mueller Investigation
BRYCE ON POLITICS - But not for the reason you may think. Click for AUDIO VERSION. It's time to wrap-up the Mueller investigation, not because they haven't found anything of substance yet, but because it is simply out of control with no end in sight. Allow me to explain.
High Level Deception
It is Christmas time once again and all through-out the land so many people are now filing unemployment claims. So much for good fellowship and joy this holiday season. The cries of thousands continue to fall on deaf ears of those CEO's and an administration that cares not that there will be no joy or revelry this holiday season for all those laid off workers. You can bet though that the 1 percent will continue to reap their financial rewards.
Dr. WilliamsPublished 5 years ago in The SwampPermanent Exit for the Former Milquetoast-in-Chief
Aside from the dry bromides, empty promises, and stale platitudes, the now deceased former President of the United States George Herbert Walker Bush stood for weakness. He may’ve been a decorated Navy veteran but somehow he lost the nerve in later years. When it came to running for office, he sought to be a people pleaser and stretched himself too thin in appeasing everyone.
Skyler SaundersPublished 5 years ago in The SwampImage and Truth
Image and truth. Do political distortions win elections? There is a very old fable; about truth going about the world naked and unadorned; and was shunned by all. Yet parable went about in fine clothes and with misleading words and everyone loved them. So the idea that image is more popular than truth is a very old one. What has changed is the professionalism of the image makers and the deliberate use of image to mislead voters.
