What Happens When Your President is the Most Dangerous Idiot in the World
I don't think any thinking person would have predicted Donald Trump's response to the coronavirus crisis would be appropriate. For those of us who've never exactly had high expectations of our Idiot-in-Chief, we were, sadly, not surprised.
Cecil AdkinsPublished 4 years ago in The SwampReason First: How Many Mass Murderers Are Black Males?
Comedian, actor, writer, producer, and director Chris Rock suggested in August of 2019 that most if not all mass shootings deal with a white shooter. This racist and sexist statement even had a terrible joke attached to it. “Betty White!” (I bet that he’s white) which scorched its way through social media sites and news agencies alike. The deceased shooter in the Molson Coors Beverage Company in Milwaukee ought to go to serve that males of color can commit egregious crimes like mass murder, too.
Skyler SaundersPublished 4 years ago in The SwampThe destruction of justice in democracies
The destruction of justice in democracies . Legal abuse of natural justice. In any democracy the politicians consider themselves “law makers,” they like to believe they make the rules and laws that govern the people. Though the party system, if any particular group of politicians win a majority; they form the government. They then fool themselves into believing they run the country and make the rules everyone has to follow. In just about every democratic nation, on any day of the week, evidence can be found: if searched for, that this is a fallacy. Politicians tend to think in grand sweeping gestures, the big picture, great overall intentions.
Peter RosePublished 4 years ago in The SwampHow Monster’s Inc. can save us from Extinction and Planetary Collapse
I was cirumnavigating the planet on research vessels working with scientists, community groups and projects globally, and unknowingly, I was taking a litmus test of planetary proportions. I was getting a first-hand ‘feel’ for what was happening on our planet. For anyone who has been globally sailing and exploring, you’ll understand when I say that this type of exploring, lights the imagination on fire. Something curious happens at sea. Every sailor gets to view some “Interesting” aspects of the inner workings of their mind. Most humans were raised on land, thus tend to be programmed to “land’ thinking. In other words.. a phenomenon happens when we come on deck and peer around to see, only water. The mind begins to create a safe environment for us. It sort of ‘fills in the blank’. So those distant clouds may suddenly appear to be far away mountain tops or islands. The distant glow of a long past sunset, has us certain there are surely lights of a town just over the horizon. That sound over the wind is our mother calling for us.. isn’t it?
Brooke A FootePublished 4 years ago in The Swampits just a theory
I have a few opinions I like opinions I like to share, even to argue about that tend to be unpalatable to some. It just I like a good conspiracy theory, even a bad one sometimes. I am sure we all see a spouse appealing for details about their missing other half and think I bet they killed them. That's a basic conspiracy theory, your being told they are appealing for the safe return of someone, you are choosing to not believe them and consider an opposite answer.
ASHLEY SMITHPublished 4 years ago in The SwampGet a Dog Donald
Dear Donald You may consider me impertinent to offer you advice, but as you have appointed your own daughter, Ivanka, and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, as presidential advisors, it would seem that qualifications and experience, in your opinion, are not prerequisites for the task of advising a president. Ivanka’s official title is “Assistant to the President”. That is the highest staff title held by anyone in the White House. Even your Chief of Staff is an assistant to the president. Jared Kushner’s title is, “Special Adviser to the President”.
Ian McKenziePublished 4 years ago in The SwampReason First: Gunman in Milwaukee Kills Five, Self
Here’s a thought experiment: imagine if all Americans from the youngest crawling to oldest walking possessed a gun. Consider the fact that each one of them received ample training in the art of firearms handling. Contemplate not free health care, but free guns. If the streets became flooded with boomsticks, what would happen to neighborhoods? If guns proliferated school buildings, churches, office buildings, movie theaters, and other businesses, what would the landscape of the United States look like?
Skyler SaundersPublished 4 years ago in The SwampWith Lives at Stake, The President and His Cronies Can't Stop Lying
The Coronavirus (also know as Corvid-19) has reached the United States. As of Feb 26th, it has yet to be declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) but there is little doubt that day is near. It is near impossible to get accurate information about the virus because most governments involved, particularly our own can't stop lying to us about the disease. Coronavirus originated in China and has since spread to every continent except Antarctica.

Nathalia RamosPublished 4 years ago in The Swamp Will Black Voters Save Joe Biden's Presidential Campaign?
Joe Biden's hopes to become President were always dependent on his ability to capture a high percentage of the black vote. With the earliest contests in the Democratic Primary process taking place in Iowa and New Hampshire with minimal black presence and the recent Nevada caucus where black voters are heavily outweighed by whites and Hispanic voters. The February 29th South Carolina Primary will be the first opportunity to see if black voters will be the firewall Biden desperately needs to stay a factor in the race to become the Democratic nominee. Bernie Sanders has taken a commanding lead in the race percentage wise, although the states having input thus far only represent 2% of the delegates to be awarded. Three days after South Carolina comes Super Tuesday; if Biden can't slow down Sander's momentum, he may well be finished by next week, unless black voters rush in to save the day.
William SpiveyPublished 4 years ago in The SwampAmerica's march towards Right Wing Fascism.
It's November 1972. Nixon just decimated the Democratic hopeful George McGovern by a 23 point margin in the popular vote. McGovern ran on a platform advocating for the withdrawal from the Vietnam War in exchange for American POWs and amnesty for draft evaders who had left the country. He also included a 37% reduction in defense spending over the next 3 years, and a "demogrant" program aiming to replace the personal income tax exemption with a $1,000 tax credit as a minimum income floor for every American citizen, in order to replace the bureaucracy of the existing public assistance programs. McGovern also supported the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment - which has still not been ratified. The establishment favored the more moderate Ed Muskie.
Paul BeluePublished 4 years ago in The SwampWhy Socialism isn't as awesome as it seems...
Socialism- We've been told it's this great, equal and free thing. An awesome thing that is great for everyone. To some it means "free" stuff, equality in money and lifestyle for all and medical care for all. That's the front runner, here's what goes on behind closed doors.
