Good Governance is more important than Good Government.

Governance matters not the government for the country. Country means its people, not its land and borders.

Governance and government are relative terms. Governance is the performance of the government. In the world, there are more than 150 countries and there are different types of governments in each country. In general, there are three types of government i.e., democracy, monarchy, and dictatorship. All three types of government shown their impact on the world and the consequences that came with it. The recent century had introduced another type of government i.e., communism. There are many differences among countries regarding the type of government. Due to these differences, resistance arises and leads to conflicts among countries.

What are these governments

Everyone knows them and is aware of their definition but still to lay a foundation let's go through them briefly.

Democracy is a form of government when a group of people unite and form alliances to serve the masses of the country. In a democracy, the group chooses its representative as a figurehead who serves as a leader.

Monarchy is a medieval type of government where the king or queen has absolute power. He or she is the supreme leader who has a governing body of ministers and officials to assist them.

Dictatorship is a form of government where an army general has absolute power. The general governs the country with the ideology of armed forces in the country.

Communism is the newest form of government where there is no supreme leader rather there is a group of people representing all fronts of the society of the country. The ideology of communism is different from other forms of government because according to communism there is no rich and poor status in the country and everyone is equal economically and socially.

In recent years, many hybrid forms of government have emerged which may be combined of two or more in the above-mentioned governments. But the question is whether the type of government matters or the governance matters. The objective of each government is to maintain social stability within the country and to develop economically. To the people, it doesn't matter what kind of government is there until there are happy and prosperous. The problem arises when there fluctuation of power balance within the country which is another reason for conflict. Most might be wondering that then in that case communism is the best government because if there is no unbalance in power there will be no situation of conflict but there is a catch. In communism, there will not be conflict but chances of development will be minimum because whatever will be earned by an individual will be equally distributed among all, so in that case determination to earn money will be lost in many people. In the end, the country will plummet into poverty because the efforts of an individual are not well received then it kills motivation to move forward.

There are countries with communist governament but it would be unwise to say that their government is the reason why their development is stalled rather it is because of the governance that could not make bold steps for the development of the country. Good governance can only happen when steps are taken for the betterment of the country. It has nothing to do with the type of government. Even countries that are known as superpowers of the world faced many challenges in recent years despite the fact they claim to have the best type of government. Another challenge to good governance is the "me first" attitude rather than "my country first" attitude. It is said that "great power comes with great responsibilities" but what if you neglect your responsibility and enjoy the power, then you will be the traitor because you are believed to serve, and with that determination, you have accepted that responsibility but with the time you forget your responsibility and use that power for self-development which is clear act of betrayal towards your people and towards your country.

The purpose of this article is to remind everyone that let's not get caught up in minor things so that we forget the main cause of government. There is nothing like perfect governance but we can make it better governance by our determination and hard work.
