America was warned in November 2016 that civil unrest was coming

After the 2016 election many Americans said Donald Trump would ruin the nation. Ardent Trump supporters said Democrats were sore losers because Hillary did not win. Over the 4 years these loyal Trumpateers continued their netoric. Whites were called angry and Blacks called racist. Those who stood by number 45 did not understand when other Americans said “ Not my president” and that Trump would be impeached. Today, America and the world realized that Donald J Trump is no one’s president. To those who say they did not ever see a day coming when the White House would be stormed, I remind them that they were warned and yes some US citizens saw this day as a possibility.

People of color, the LBGTQ community and even many white Americans recognized the president for who he is. Donald Trump is of the old guard and the good ol boy mentality that made massaquered Native Americans, and ridiculed and mistreated immigrants who did not arrive on these shores from European nations. Donald Trump represents those in power who enslaved Africans and once they were free donned white sheets and joined lynch mobs to hang them from trees and burn their homes. The mob mentality has long been in this nation and many US citizens saw this in Trump in 2016. It would be childish to say “ Wr told you so” but we did. Warning after warning went unheeded and close to half of the voters wanted 4 more years.

Mike Pence has stood silently by in an attempt to be a loyal Vice President and now even he had been thrown under the bus. I personally knew this day would come because I’ve had bosses and pastors who were drunk with their own power. If you dared ask questions then you were punished, fired or put out of the church. I had panic attacks each time Trump said something inflammatory and I could feel that it was all going to hit the fan. Last week James Browns song Payback came to mind and the lyrics are:

That's it, payback, revenge

I'm mad!

Donald Trump is mad, serking revenge and now getting the big payback. Now a woman is dead and others are hurt. The United States is being ridiculed in front of the world and some people in of color expected it. Black folk actually expected riots, protests, and storming the White House after Barack Obama won but he was elected twice and the haters did not do anything major. When Donald Trump came on the scene speaking their language and looking like past presidents those who remained silent for 8 years now had a leader who would allow them to vent their pent up anger and the result is the White House being stormed.

Some of those who came to Washington probably know deep down that the 2020 election was fair. Even so, they are using this moment to lash out because they did not want a black couple in the Oval Office or Gsys to have her right to marry. Many of them believe they are losing control and today they felt powerful. If you believed Donald Trump wax being picked on and not given a chance perhaps the days advents will help you understand why others were never in his corner. Before the 2017 inauguration many Amethyst cans said that Trump was no politician and would run the White House like the Apprentice.

This he did by saying to people left and right, “You’re fired.” His winks and nods the White Supremacists was anticipated as was the rise in attacks against immigrants, Jews and the LBGzt community. Trump supporters turned a blind eye to it all and now look what has been taking place. At this moment America had a commander in chief elect who will take office on January 21. Until then we are on our own. There was an opportunity to impeach him but he was kept in office so Capital Hill asked for this and they got it in spades. There was a Happy Harmonies cartoon where a little chipmunk got out of line and suffered greatly. I was not able to find it online but I remember the chipmunks siblings taunted him in song with: “ We told you so we told you so, don’t forget we told you so.” America you did not heed the warnings for 4 years and now you are reaping the seeds you have sown at the expense of US citizens. Now you want to envoke the 25th Amendment when you should have done it long ago. Remember we told you so.
