5 Wild Things Gov. Nyesom Wike Said During The Rivers State #EndSars Protest.

The governor had a lot to say.

We are at a very pivotal moment in time here in Nigeria. The youths of the nation have taken to the streets to protest against the menace that is the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) here in the nation because for a long time, the officer of SARS have oppressed the people and used their position of power to bully and harass innocent civilians, especially youth whom they deem to be criminals based on the kinds of phones they use or the type of cars they drive.

Protests have been going on around the nation, but in the early hours of today, people were surprised to hear that the governor of Rivers State, Gov. Nyesom Wike, had put a ban on protests in Rivers State.

As you can imagine, this caused an uproar and the people weren’t having it. So, they protested anyways and can you believe what happened when they did…the governor, Nyesom Wike, who had fought vehemently to stop these protests SHOWED UP at the protest, and during his time there, he said a lot of things. I have picked 7 interesting things he said to share with you.

Are you ready to see them? Then let’s go!

ONE.

He said:

When there was so much kidnapping in this state, I raised an alarm to the federal government. They said it was politics, right? I said okay. I prayed to God that kidnapping, killing, armed robbery will take over the entire country. Has it taken over the entire country? Has it taken over the entire country?

TWO.

He said again:

Nobody has suffered, no state has suffered in the hands of SARS like Rivers State.

THREE.

He said again:

I am the only governor who has come out to fight against SARS.

FOUR.

He said again:

When I was shouting in this country. I was shouting about SARS, I was shouting about SARS. No one state supported Rivers State. Not one state.

FIVE.

And he said once again:

You want to tell me the same SARS now has gone to kill other people in other states, now it has touched them. You want me now. When they were killing my people, I was shouting, nobody said anything. Now they've killed your own people now, now they've seen how bad SARS is.

THE VIDEO:

If you’re anything like me and you like seeing things for yourselves or simply prefer more audio-visual content, here is the video where the governor says all of these:

At the end of the day, wild statements said or not, we as youths are not too interested in the politics or wishing bad on the opposition, we just want to see things get done right and we hope as a country that this menace of SARS comes to an end that we as a nation can all be happy with.

That’s All.
