Stress is one of the leading causes of heart failure, depression, anxiety, and many other ailments. So what is stress? And how can we better cope with it? Stress can come in many forms and often hits us when we least expect it. Stress is when you feel overwhelmed with situations or if you are in financial trouble. There are many types of stress factors that can lead to other health issues if a person doesn't manage to cope with their stress in a healthy way. The most common types of stress factors are financial, physical, or emotional stress. Financial stress is one of the most common types of stress as a lot of people deal with struggling with finances and paying all the bills. It is common to get in a place where the bills just keep adding up and the finances seem to be getting thinner and thinner. Another common type of stress is physical, this includes health problems both physically and mentally. A physical or mental health issue can cause more stress as there is a lot to worry about when dealing with certain illnesses or disorders. The final most common stress factor is emotional stress, which comes from being in a bad relationship and feeling trapped, going through hard times with family, or stressing out from the current career path you have chosen.

There are ways that you can cope with these common stress factors in order to reduce the stress that comes with these situations. You can also improve your overall health by learning to cope with common stress factors in a healthier way. When dealing with financial stress, one of the ways you can cope with this stress factor is to go through your bills and what you get paid. Sit down by yourself or with your partner and add up the total amount of money you or both of you make in a month on one side of a piece of paper, on the other side write up all the bills you have each month including any extra for taxable items and so forth. Now you can budget your money where the bills due at the beginning of the month get paid with your first check of the month and the bills due at the end get paid with the check towards the end. So putting your bills and checks in order can make this process seem easy and it is a good way for you to set aside any extra money for rainy days. Making a budget according to the income you make and sticking with that budget is a good way to reduce the stress from finances. When dealing with any physical or mental health issues, some ways to cope with stress from that is to talk to your doctor about any concerns, ask about going to therapy, join a group that best fits you, maybe go to the library, think of simple tasks you can do, work your way up to reaching bigger goals.

Finally, when dealing with emotional stress factors, there are several ways you can cope with the stress. One is to talk to a job recruiter if your work is what is causing you stress or maybe even your local pastor or a trusted friend. Another thing you can do is to talk to a counselor or therapist for any relationship trouble you may be having and stage an intervention or group counseling session for a family member that may be the cause of emotional stress. There will always be stress, and things that cause stress, but how you cope and manage your stress can help you to reduce the risk of much bigger problems. It is important to know what increases your risks for higher stress levels and how to reduce the level of stress without causing further damage. In conclusion, we all will have to deal with stress at some point in our lives, but there are healthier ways to deal with stress factors as they come, rather than to let it go.
