Your Song

by Pacho _ about a year ago in sad poetry

And maybe we can start all over again.

Your Song

I stretch my hand out as a lover

But I dance on glass heels

If I move too fast

I slip and fall

If I dance so hard

I'll get shattered pieces of glass in my feet

So I dance this slow

Lest I lose my soul

Dancing to the song of your heartbeat

It plays on and on

Endlessly on repeat

And now I've grown bored with the sound of your tune

I'll hit eject

And maybe we can start all over again

If not, I'll dust you every day but keep you on the shelf where you belong.
