You Win

Congrats are in order.

Here I am in my defeat,

I am finally shattered,

all that’s left is for you

to collect your winnings

and leave with your receipt

along with my tears in a jar

then I can start my retreat

I no longer want to play this stupid game

I guess I am always to blame.

Since leading with my heart.

The world has torn me apart.

So congrats, you broke me down.

If you can’t see how hard I tried,

I’ll gladly show myself out.

How easy we forget the good

and focus on the bad again.

I guess I will take this loss,

and you can have this win.
