You're allowed to heal

Love, the kid who remembers

Mothers and fathers ... You have permission to heal all the parts no one ever had time for, even you.

ESPECIALLY you.

Your children do not care as much about "keeping up with the Jones' " as you think. They want simple, calm and easy.

They want their mom and their dad and they want to enjoy life. Children learn through playing, through dancing, through making all that racket that hurts your brain. It hurts your brain because they're showing you where and what you can heal and where neurosis has taken over.

Neurosis is just a neurological maladaptation to life, and it's retrainable.

It only feels impossible because the structure is set up that way. Don't worry, there's a gang of us kids, right here in the middle of it all, ready to assist and share.

Heal. Heal out loud and show your children how.

If you need help, ask. This will give your friends permission to reach out too. Someone has to be brave first.

We are all hoping and wishing for a time that's different or better in some way and what if all we needed was each other?

Your age doesn't mean you don't get to feel or have emotions.

The label parent doesn't mean you don't have needs or dreams.

The label child doesn't mean you aren't highly intuitive or intelligent.

I'm called to work together, in our brokenness and in our light, and we must hold each other up here on Earth.

Bring back community, bring back family and bring back conversations rooted in truth.

Speak all the truths no one ever got to speak.

Break out loud. I want to hear your heart, and so do your children.

Signed,

The kid who remembers
