Why is time or the dwindling reality of it our biggest obsession?
Is it just us or where all generations like us?
We are, here and now but tomorrow we don’t know,
All we know is by tomorrow. Today will be gone to never come back.
Running after the nothing and ignoring life that needs to be lived!
Not ignoring, what matters, and would have make us better people.
People without time, without a life, without a future
We all die in the end
What are we always running away from? A past none of us can remember.
So seldom are we running towards. A future we long to be part of.
We encourage our children to aim higher
Become better people
Judge them through criteria we couldn’t stand up to.
We know we don’t really matter in the logic of things
A speck blown away in a light spring breeze.
We are just flickers of individuality.
We just are what we are.

About the Creator

Poetry writer in the early morning. Poetry as a wake up call. Then later I draw lines and colours. I have a page on Instagram my art other than words although it contains words too. Titles are important to finish a piece like a full stop.
