Why'd they have to kill Piggy?

They started out with order and rules,

then slowly, but surely they started acting like fools.

The conch shell was supposed to provide order,

then the rotten ones threw out the law and knew no border.

They went sick savage,

and each other, they began to ravage.

They speared what they thought was a monster,

but it was their island-dwelling brother.

Then, there were only two boys left who were sane,

even though their hopes began to wane.

They were the ones with wisdom beyond their years,

though they had shed so many sorrowful tears.

Then, the wild warrior boys who had gone evil,

started the worse commotion and upheaval.

A boulder, they rolled down, crushing dear Piggy,

their brutal ways, horrific, the greatest pity.

Alas, they lost all rationale,

leaving only one left with any ounce of morale.

And, him, they chased, until he fell, timely,

at the marine's feet who would save him primely.

Salvation had come at last,

and to it, he clung and held fast.
