why are you so angry
they ask me, as if i have any reason not to be
why are you so angry?
because children all around the world are living in households of abuse, and can't escape, and aren't listened to -
+ it doesn't matter because
we're just teaching them to be respectful
because anyone can have a child and anyone can raise it
+ anyone can leave it in whatever shape they please
because the media tells a woman she isn't pretty
and that fat equals unlovable and ugly and
you should be ashamed
but fat is not a bad word
and skinny women get shamed too
because white men kill black men
with no regard
and then walk free after getting out on good behaviour
but a black man kills a white man
+ it's nothing less than uproar
because black lives matter shouldn't be controversial
but it is
+ the world is jaded by racist men whose tiny brains
just reek of privilege
but why are you so angry?
because boys suffer in silence
because love isn't love if it's not your idea of love
because everybody cares what's in my pants +
not
what's
in my brain
i don't look at you when i speak so i am rude and weak!
but i can speak much better when my brain is not on edge from
looking at a person who insists i be respectful
because you don't deserve my respect!
we are angry
we are stupid and disabled and misunderstood
but
we'd do it if we could!
+ a chronically ill person has to pay money to stay alive
+ a gender non-conforming child is confused and contrived
+ a person with psychosis is just dangerous not sick
+ i have to be a woman because i don't have a dick
why am i so angry?
because you don't wear a mask -
your ableism's showing and your freedoms don't mean shit
when your dirty hands just point the blame and threaten to forfeit a game
that was never just a game because our lives are at risk
but you make me angry
because
you don't give a shit.
