White Hole
'I don't believe in magic,' the young boy said. The old man smiled. 'You will, when you see her.' -Atticus

You are a white hole
How lucky I am
To witness you
They say you can't exist
But I know the truth
I saw with my own soul
All light emanate from you
During that same beat
My heart leaped
When I first regarded you
My heart is incapable of forgetting
Your honey beam of warmth
And icicle stars comforting your new moon
You are just as infrequent as
Each rebirth of the universe
And the source of it too
You live in the moment
Rather than across time
Your legacy is all light you liberate
And all gifts you refuse
