What secrets we tell, little confidences, whispered to one another with smiles and giggles. These are small secrets, light, some may last a lifetime, others for mer moments.
Whispers of love and promises. Little secrets of a shared experience, to be held from the world, shared by no other. Bringing smiles and warm thoughts to those who own them.
Secrets can and do hold a certain power, forming a connection between those who share them. Telling the person that they trust them, that they know they won’t be betrayed.
They’re just words, or are they? These confidences, sometimes it’s a weight that needs to be shared, too heavy for one single soul to bear. Sometimes they may be life changing in their importance, shared to no one but the mirror. And perhaps whispered to the wind, to be carried away and released.
How many secrets have I felt, whispered onto the wind by others, who needed it’s release? How many have I done the same to? After holding them for so long.
