Poems are a piece of art
A picture painted with words
Created in the readers mind
A poem takes the reader places
Where transportation can’t take them
They can only go with the aid of imagination
Poems trigger emotions and feelings
Which makes a connection with the reader
Making them clinch onto every word
Maybe reminding them of a memory
Or of a fantasy that they have
Sometimes readers read poetry
With the aim to escape reality
Or even just for relaxation
Or maybe they read it for the literature
Poems are made to be enjoyed
And poems are made to be shared
Poems are a personal gift
Made from the writer to the reader
