What is this feeling?

Have you ever found yourself feeling something new and unexpected?

That is the question I ask myself as I look across the room, hoping you’ll look my way. Wondering, if when you do, you’ll have that same spark, that same flutter in your stomach.

My mind is racing with a thousand questions; all for you.

What is your favourite colour?

What sort of movies do you like watching?

What food do you hate?

Are you single?

To be honest that last one should be the most important one. But right now thinking straight doesn’t quite work for me.

Oh god you’re turning towards me. You’ve caught my eye…

Of all the things I could’ve done in that moment.

I turned away.

When I look back you’re gone. Let the room, going about your day because nothing happened to keep you here.

I think about when I’ll see you again, if I’ll see you again. All the while wondering what this strange feeling is.
