What is the ocean?

A short poem

What is a sound of the ocean?

The waves slapping the perfidious sand,

The wind fighting its forced path.

What is a smell of the ocean?

Fresh clean air, cycled through wind and storm.

What are the waves of the ocean?

A repeating course of death and life,

A fresh start, a sudden end.

What is a tide of the ocean?
An energy forced beneath the surface,

desperately fighting tooth and claw for freedom.

What is an ocean?
A storm is an act of defiance,

the current a forced hand at office,

the change and colors a chaotic and desperate final choice.
