What Decision To Make?

Should she call and say sorry

What Decision To Make?

Modern boy, modern girl

Met exactly when they should,

Modern mind in a modern world

Together they were good.

***

Until things started to change

And it all began to go wrong,

She started to doubt their love

And no longer felt she belonged.

***

So many things to consider

Trying not to make a mistake,

She’s up and down, all over

Unhappy decisions to make.

***

Decide to love you or leave you

She doesn’t know what to do,

Decide to love you or leave you

She hasn’t got a clue.

***

Should she call and say sorry

Admit that she was wrong,

Tell you life isn’t any better

Now that you have gone.

About the Creator

Colleen Millsteed

My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.
