We never would have thought,
We would experience this,
With uncertain times,
And things we must miss,
Normality on hold,
As we face a virus,
We must stick together,
And nothing should stop us.
Although it’s a pandemic,
We should not panic,
Don’t rush to the shops,
As the results will be tragic,
Stockpiling for what,
Only buy what you need,
Your taking basic items,
From others necessity.
Unfortunate times,
And loss of lives,
Push other things aside,
And take a moment to realise,
We are doing what we can,
To help saves lives,
We've been asked an easy task,
Of staying inside.
If this was a war,
We'd be asked to be outdoor,
A country to fight for,
And lives lost more,
But we're asked to stay safe,
And to stay away,
From all the danger,
That the outdoors face.
Key workers in danger,
Risking every day,
To save lives like ours,
Until the virus goes away,
Let's support the workers,
For risking their lives,
To keep us safe,
And keep us alive.
Volunteers round the world,
As we become one,
Vaccine on the horizon,
To save everyone,
Don’t go outside,
Don’t try to be clever,
Whatever the weather,
We must stick together.
