Lynchburg, Virginia,

A city on the James,

Fountains throughout,

They spout water about,

To look upon the city is great,

In a good part of the state,

The railway runs through the town,

While you drive around,

The city lights,

Illuminate the sky,

See the beauty of Lynchburg,

Right through your eyes,

Walking hand in hand,

Through the vast lands,

Lynchburg is a place to see,

Fill your heart with glee,

As we enjoy the day,

The memories will not fade,

Looking out on the James,

This is Virginia’s claim to fame,

Trains chug a lug,

Along the rails,

I would like to fish,

From a boat with bright sails,

Come to Lynchburg,

And you will see,

A city that is draped in beauty.
