Waiting in anticipation

I don't think I'm ever truly living in the moment
Because I'm always waiting in anticipation for something
It seems like everyday is just filler for another day
Because I'm always waiting impatiently for something to come my way
I start to feel like a slave as I wait
Watching impatiently as time begins slipping away
And in this state
My mind begins to take over
And I start to lust over
Something not obtainable within this hour
This state leaving me
Susceptible to outside forces
While my mind is coercing with chaotic voices
Becoming unaware of time
As I sit
Trapped in my own mind
Fiending for just a chance to leave my present behind
