voids
scream into me.

the void
will drag you in.
there are friends on the outskirts,
flowers bordering tarmac.
you were always a flower,
a bright, effervescent glow.
you never saw it in yourself.
you never stopped to see your petals.
itβs seen in a memory now,
how sparkling you were
when you never saw it yourself.
no soul behind smiles and
no trust in your heart.
the void is black and crumbling
scorching on a hot day.
it gives you perspective
and helps you see your petals
the contrast so great.
nothing has changed except
the view.
