Visions of Angels in My Head

Sad Poetry

Just wanted to say it's a sad poem but I'm not sad.

Feeling alone,

wishing for a friend,

to save me from the horror story that never seems to end.

With visions of angels swirling in my head,

I dream and hope, but I know this will never be,

of an angel swooping down from heaven to save me.

In my mind, I see white feathered wings gently cover me,

hugging me close,

my worries vanish, and I'm no longer a ghost.

Nestled within the comfort of the angel's wings,

love envelops my entire being.

Still, those boulders fly, and I dodge them as they come rolling by.

Once in a while, a boulder crashes into me,

it pushes me far away,

and no angel comes to my aid, only me.

I pick myself up, bleeding and bruised,

I carry on, somehow I do.

Let's see what tomorrow brings.

and shall we not forget, All Hallows Eve is near,

it’s that time of year, those boulders I fear.

Visions of angels in my head,

giving me strength to march ahead.

One day I'll scale my prison wall,

this prison of fear will crash and fall.
