Outside in

Vessel

Drifting through space

I still see the trees

My heart is beating fast

It brings me to my knees

My coloured glass reflection

Is far from being broken

I defuse noise around

Won't listen to lies spoken

My heart is in a safe

I'm drifting away

To another shore

The sun is on my face

Distance can be easy

A choice made alone

Sometimes curtains open

I look toward the road

Happiness it comes in a jar

Open eyes to see

Your face vanishing

But never so completely

Heart in a safe

I'm drifting away

To another shore

The sun is on my face
