Unexplored Frontiers

I will not be you and

you will not be me

dancing around

delayed address of our imbalances

serpentine slow slither wrapped around fragilities

in an attempt to blend in

When a fight to the death carries hints on the breeze

procrastination hedges bets

I do not want to shed blood and

you do not need the dry-cleaning bill

There is no way

around dark tangled unkempt sections

dense foliage of abandoned half selves.

Nothing gets left forever.

We start at edges

work our way in.

I don’t want endless search for connection and

you won’t accept less than full strength soul intoxication

I am full moon reign to attract all fluid

You are solstice sun not a solitary thing to prove

And we cannot know how this will end

We only know it has begun
