I feel the blood rushing through my veins
Better catch me before I go insane
You’ll find me hiding in that hole in the earth
Contemplating what I’m really worth
My hands are shaking, trembling
Eyes are twitching, I’m still waiting for my time to come
How can everything just disappear
Out of my hands into thin air
How can everything be so unclear
Enough for everyone to interfere
Looking at these scars to bare
Asking myself do I really even care
You’ll find me ducking in that hole in the sun
Why do I feel like I’m the only one

Stuck in Place
Amy whistled as she walked through her front yard, looking for any sticks she could pick up and throw into the pile she and her brother were making. They had a big windstorm recently; as such, all the trees in their yard had suffered some damage in some loss of sticks. Or perhaps losing those sticks was a good thing since their trees probably needed to be pruned anyway. Amy wasn't sure.
