U-turn allowed.

I rounded the corner and got there

Up where the long line of cars was stopped there

Because the road up ahead was blocked there

Vehicles were turning around before they got there

Soon the other roads were clogged-up where

One could go to escape the mess here

By taking the bridge over to the thoroughfare

And be on the way into town with time to spare

So I made a U-turn and get back there

Onto the same road I came when first I got here

But many heads were turned to watch where

I was headed since it was not clear

How one might find a way out from over here

But around the corner just a little ways from here

There’s a church’s parking lot with two entrances where

One may find a way back, on track, to a wide open road where

There’s no further need to stop.
