Schooling hasn’t made you any smarter

Isn’t that always the way?

It just made you more likely to babble

With nothing to say

Ivy league

The disease

That sucked out your soul

You argue

And banter

Shut your fucking hole

Don’t you know

I’m not here

To debate with you?

But I am

And I find myself

Hating you

I told you

I warned

Leave it alone

But you didn’t

You pushed

I don’t care who’s wrong

You want me

To salute you

Your Majesty

What you’ve done

Is the worst kind

Of tragedy

You killed

Something beautiful

Inside of me

Something I loved

Has shriveled

And died in me

My love burned away

Now it’s gone

Are you pleased?

You poisoned me

Filled my soul

With disease

Now it’s

Back to the hate

For living

And my life

You’ve done it all

Am I right in saying that your message is that higher education poisons the love of whatever it is that you study? I know it was that way for me. It was so much so that I never finished and decided instead to, 'follow my dreams,' it hasn't made me much, and the recovery time was years in the making, but I'm finally back at it. Thanks for sharing.
