If I became the magician

and was given the chance

to spin back time

I would go to that moment

and tell you

what was in my heart.

I would give you the chance

to tell me what was in yours

and allow you the space

to release your truth.

But the sad reality is

I can’t go back.

You can’t go back.

We can’t go back.

The hourglass has been flipped

the sands run out

just like our time together.

I know it’s over

but those memories

will always haunt me.

At least through the pain

it taught me,

to appreciate each moment

and to always share

what's weighing on my heart.

For you only get

one shot

in this life.

A lesson,

I did indeed

come to learn,

but maybe just

a few moments

too late.
