i will never feel part of a whole being left to fill blanks in as i go,

so go ahead and call me whenever, on a whim, and don't tell me til then.

i won't be waiting for more promises or owing for those already broke.

get what matters to me back; outta your trash, from smoke and mirrors.

i got love for you, but i got more for me cause i gotta live with who i am.

try testing those boundaries, reflexing on me like it's over my head.

i promise you'll be at least as disappointed as i am soon, maybe more.

offering all the novel indifference of whatever people call it today,

i am almost always lost in translation so don't hesitate to practice more.

leave it punctuated and undeniable- a signature of that part of you.

i hear you think you still have to lie to kick it, denying you yourself.

some stains never wash out all the way, but fade unrecognizably,

i am not everyone's cup of word vomit- or did you want that in a bowl?

all bets are off. so are the lights but that's to cut down on the power bill.

i don't mean to be so negative or question your reptilian tears-

not allowed to speak of the depth from whence it manifested, but i can say

i haven't seen anything like it before so naturally shaken but never stirred.

growing ire waiting for your call so i turn the ringer off, but you know...

i'll likely still be here waiting cause you promised it'd be different this time;

to "talk to you later", give you "just one hour" two hours ago,

i'm at fault tho for thinking you'd do as you say and not as you've done.
