Poets in Motion

Washed in your tears

I can't run fast enough

My feet are stuck in your concrete

Hell drags me back to your heart

I can taste solitude on your lips

I'm dazed from trying climb out

Out of the hole you dug for me

I try to move forward

But I'm trapped in a web

That I crocheted for you

Nails dirty and bloody

From begging and pleading

On my knees

Look what you've done to me

You've laughed at my weakness

And savored in my pain

You pushed me down

I still try to keep going

Even though I'm shackled

I cry out to you

But it's useless

When you're deaf to my voice

I need to climb this mountain

But I'm always stuck

Stuck in the concrete

Waiting for you
