I have loved you through every era ;

each passing decade,

made the yearning sweeter-

Yet, time continues ticking

without exception passing

in a day, week, month, year-

I have longed for love

as deep as yours ;

A connection- ‘til now-

Unfathomable !

Enjoyed lives’ detours,

scenic routes and dead ends.

With apeice of heartbreak

Came experience- knowledge,

needed-

A heart on the mend.

Clearly,

cuts deeper, than others ...

A liquid stitch fix,

often most

feel the need of drastic intervention —

I debated,

you

Yes you, would ever come !

Without the idea hope of your existence—

literally the Earth,

won’t stop spinning-

in actuality mine,

will gradually:

impossibly, improbably, implode

wither, and die in a impolitic way !

In totality,

does hope override,

our innate instinct?

Knowing ,

you’re on my horizon-

Kept,

anticipation, and love alive.

Hope is the force

of our actions ,

some days,

Keeps,

me driving forward-

one foot in front of the other

Does hope give us patience?

Or does the lack of emotion,

make us impatient ?

Barring no one, of hope-

Without,

we would have no reason

to tackle a new day-

Continually,

stuck in a perpetual state

of hibernation !
